Interest in fasting as a way to boost health has exploded over recent years and with good reason.

Ben Tanner is a Physician Assistant, which means his role rivals that of a doctor without quite as much medical school debt.

He’s been in the emergency room for 7 years and has also spent time in family practice and urgent care.

He’s experienced first hand the terrible toll that chronic disease can have on people and has become passionate about getting the word out about the power of fasting to help people reverse disease.

When Ben and I first talked about doing a podcast together, I loved the info on fasting but had some concerns as Ben and I have some rather different approaches to food.

You know I am a big proponent of eating mostly whole, plant-foods, and Ben tends to emphasize a non-plant-based approach that is higher in fat and protein.

Ben was a really good sport though and not only listened to my shameless attempts to sell him on plant-based eating but even agreed to try plant-based eating during that 2 weeks while I did a 3 day fast.
