Podcast Episode 9. Overcoming Crohn’s by Swapping Plants for Keto with Cassidy Gundersen

[Update! Cassidy just released Curing Crohn’s where she shares not just her amazing journey from being crowned Miss Idaho despite her intense addiction to processed food as well as her healing protocol]

If you’ve ever dealt with digestive discomfort or bathroom issues (who hasn’t?) then you know how awkward, uncomfortable and limiting it can be. Digestive issues were the start of our plant-based journey, and I can’t believe how many of my guests are quick to talk about the rapid improvement they discovered when they switched to eating whole plant-foods.

Cassidy Gundersen has an amazing story, that includes discovering that going #2 only once a month isn’t exactly normal and being told to prepare for a short life, to finding some relief eating Keto to reluctantly trying plant-based only to discover it fixed not only the bathroom issues but also the depression, anxiety and lack of energy she had no idea were related.

Cassidy now has a PhD in nutrition, and for you fellow Latter-day Saints, wrote her dissertation on the Word of Wisdom, which for our friends of other faiths is basically our modern health code. Just like Daniel in the Old Testament had instruction from God on what foods were good for his body, we believe God revealed more recent guidance in 1838.
